
Anthony David Gonzalez, born on 27 February 1976, is an ex-American football tightener who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 years. Gonzalez is considered to be one of the most significant tight ends in the world. Gonzalez holds the NFL record for receiving yards as well as receptions as a tight-end. In addition, he is third in overall receptions. Gonzalez spent his first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. During his last five seasons, he was a member of the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez, who quit in 2013, was an analyst for NFL on Prime Video. Before that, he was at CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six All-Pro honors. Known for his durability and rarely fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 games during the regular season and lost just two fumbles in 1,327 plays. In the year 2019, he was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
